Sandra (Sandy) Ellene Armstrong 1946 - 2006 The death of Sandra (Sandy) Ellene Armstrong, 59 years, of Railway Avenue, Moncton occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, March 20, 2006. Born in Moncton, on December 3rd, 1946, she was the daughter of Ruth Armstrong of Moncton and the late George Armstrong. A loving and caring person Sandy had for many years, been a child caregiver. She loved her garden and had a soft spot in her heart for animals, in particular cats. Very much loved by her family, Sandy will be sadly missed by her mother, Ruth, with whom she resided; her sister, Shirley Motkaluk of Edmonton; her brother, Lynden (Cecile) Armstrong of Moncton; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Armstrong of Saskatoon; her nieces, Lynn Armstrong of Moncton, Gail Armstrong of Saskatchewan, and Maureen Fredin of Alberta; three nephews, Rodney Armstrong of Moncton, Jason Motkaluk of Alberta and Michael Armstrong of Alberta; as well by several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friends, Gloria Collette and Judy Boudreau, and she was considered the second mom to Erica, Erin and Jamie Lynn Arbeau. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, John and a niece. By request there will not be any visiting hours or public funeral service. A private family service was held at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in The Church of the Ascension Cemetery, Apohaquai. Donations in Sandy's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the SPCA or the memorial of the donor's choice.
