Ryan Thomas McCarthy-Gunn
Ryan Thomas McCarthy-Gunn 1995 - 2006 It is with deep sadness that the family of Ryan McCarthy-Gunn announce his sudden death on Tuesday March 21, 2006 at the age of 10. Predeceased by his mother, Maureen McCarthy, Ryan is survived by his parents, Paul and Helen Gunn, his sister Kyleigh, his step-sisters, Nicole, Lauren and Sarah-Jane and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ryan was a grade 5 student at Bessborough School which he loved to attend. He had a passion for drama, music, comedy and writing his own plays and poetry. Ryan was an active member of KIX at the Moncton Wesleyan Church and enjoyed his experiences at Camp Wildwood. Ryan was born in Toronto but moved to Moncton when he was 2 years old. He was a little boy with big dreams and big plans; to visit a castle, to be an actor, to live in a mansion, to write a book. In his 10 short years he was able to, in his own way, accomplish many of these dreams. Ryan knew how to bring out the good in everyone he met. He was a selfless person who never expected anything in return from people. He always had a funny story or a joke to tell. Ryan dealt with all the challenges that life threw at him, taking it all in stride and never loosing his big smile or positive attitude. Ryan will be missed by all those who loved him. He was just such an amazing person. Visitation on Saturday, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton (857-1110). The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2006 at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Falkland Ave, Moncton. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In Ryan's memory, donations to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
