Mr. Elwood L. Gilliss 1954 - 2006 CAMBRIDGE, ONT. - Mr. Elwood Leigh Gilliss, son of Rita and the late Lloyd Gilliss, passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, Ontario, on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at the age of 51. Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on April 22, 1954, he was the son of Rita (Adams) and the late Lloyd Gilliss. He was a sandblaster, painter and metal cleaner by profession. He is survived by his mother, Rita Gilliss; five sisters, Estelle Olsen (Bernie), of Miramichi, Myrna Dickson (Bliss), of Napan, Coral Johnston (Rick), of Bay du Vin, Trina Sobey (Ross), of Woodstock, Karlene Gilliss, of Napan; six brothers, Lynn (Claudette), Byron (Sally), all of Napan, Kelvin (Lisa), of Fredericton, Morris (Heather), of Vanderhoof, B.C., Clinton (Koreen), of Eel Ground, Dwayne (Theresa), of Russellville; as well a numerous nieces, nephews; several uncles and aunts. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Patricia Reid; his father, Lloyd Gilliss. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, April 2, 2006, conducted by Pastor Gary Biggar. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring.
