Rosemarie Bastarache MONTREAL, PQ - Rosemarie Bastarache, passed away after a lengthy illness, at the Montreal Chest Hospital on March 31, 2006. Cherished mother of Alexandre, and beloved daughter of Suzanne and the late Gerard Bastarache of Saint John, NB. Sister of Ronald, Pauline (Gary), Patricia, Jocelyne and Paul, and aunt to Rachel, Andrew, Matthew and Grant. For more than 30 years, Rosemarie was a valued member of the production staff of the radio music department of CBC/Radio Canada. She produced hundreds of concert broadcasts and is especially remembered for her Grands Concerts Series at the Salle Claude-Champagne in Montreal in the late 1980's where she presented dozens of high profile international artists. She also nurtured a generation of young Canadian musicians in her role as coordinator of music competitions and producer of the Series Jeunes Artistes. A service took place in Montreal on April 5th, 2006 and her family from New Brunswick were in attendance.
