Nellie G. Russell THE GLADES, NB - Nellie Gertrude (Lewis) Russell, 87, of The Jordan Lifecare Centre and formerly Salisbury passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the centre. Born in Steeves Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Hope. In her early working life Nellie was employed as a matron at the former Moncton Police Station and then clerked at the former Woolco. A member of the Steeves Mountain Baptist Church she attended Five Points Baptist Church and the Monday Morning Merry Makers in Salisbury. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Stanley of Salisbury; granddaughter, June Saunders (Peter); great granddaughter, Kayla Saunders; and daughter-in-law, Lillian Lewis of Petitcodiac. Predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Lewis; and her son, Paul Lewis. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the Funeral will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe and Rev. Robert Steeves officiating. Interment at Five Points Cemetery.
