Rita Leger 1916-2006 Rita Leger 90, daughter of the late Michel and Claire (Allain) Bastarache of Residence Belleville Dieppe, and formerly of Cornhill St. Moncton, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Bouctouche NB, on March 11, 1916 she retired from the G.D.H. as a menu clerk. She is survived by six children, Simone, Rene (Catherine), Sylvia Melanson (Roger), Linda Leger (Roger), Donna Boucher (Ulysse Gallant) and Jean; 11 grand children, Carole Robichaud (William LeBlanc), Suzanne Lund (Darren), Denise Maillet (Leo) Leslie, Dwayne, Janice Richard (Roland), Chantal LeBlanc (Daniel), Natasha Leger (Serge Godin) and Marco, Lynn (Serge Hebert) and Vanessa. She is also survived by eight great grand children, Melanie, Amanda, Tiffanie, Brandon, Isabelle, Sophie, Tyler and Nicholas. Rita is survived by one sister, Lydia (late Levi Maillet) and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Dr. Alfred Bastarache, Aurele, Edmond; one sister, Elise; and one great grand daughter, Jenika (Seely). Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2006 from 10:00 to 11:00AM at Fair Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
