Clara Kathleen Keirstead 1925 - 2006 RIVERSIDE-ALBERT, NB - Clara Kathleen Keirstead, 80, of Riverside-Albert passed away on April 30, 2006 at The Moncton Hospital, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. Clara was born in Hastings, Albert County, NB on July 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Bernard and Gertrude (Smith) McKinley. Clara was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Riverside-Albert.Clara worked at Spencer's Drug Store and also at Alcorn's Restaurtant before joining her husband in running an independent Insurance Agency. In her earlier years Clara enjoyed a good card game and also enjoyed listening and dancing to fiddle music. She always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh. She was a little lady with a big heart, who will never be forgotten. Clara will be deeply missed by her daughter, Diane Haslam (Brian) of Riverview; son, Ivan Keirstead (Cathy) of Hillsborough; sisters, Gladys McCarron of NS, Marie McQuade of Victoria, BC, Maisie Martin of Caanon and Winnifred Smith (Harold) of Riverside-Albert; she will also be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Tanya, Sarah, Christopher and JonMichael; and great grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie Lynn and Christine Dawn. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Clarke Keirstead; infant daughter, Juanita; sisters, Annie Leaman, Viola Brantnall, Teresa Kelly and Stella Quillian; brothers, Louis McKinley, Elmer McKinley and Donald McKinley. She will be resting at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Riverside-Albert on Tuesday, May 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Prayer Vigil will be held at the Church on Tuesday evening for a time of sharing of memories and stories at 8pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Holy Ghost Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 10am with Father Jeff Doucette officiating. Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB. Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
