Lorraine Gauvin

Lorraine Gauvin 1923 - 2006 Lorraine Gauvin, 83, of Moncton passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at The Moncton Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Domine (Richard) Bourque. Lorraine was a very kind, generous, gentle lady and very special to her family. She served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War. She was a very talented seamstress and took great pride in her excellent quilting and knitting. Lorraine will be sadly missed by her sister, Edmee (Mae) Phillips; brothers, Terence and Joseph (Alcide) Bourque; several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John Gauvin; sisters, Corinne and Delphine. There will be no visitation prior to the reception to celebrate Lorraine's life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2006 in the Garden View Reception Room of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In memory of Lorraine, donations may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or a memorial of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton 852-3530.
