Norma Fredricka McFarlane 1917 - 2006 The death of Norma F. McFarlane (Mawer) formerly of Fredericton, wife of Donald S. McFarlane, occurred on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home. Born on February 25, 1917 in Devon (Fredericton) NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Merrill) Mawer. Norma was a charter member of the Uplands Baptist Church, a life member of the Kelly Carline Women Missionary Society, a life member of the Mary Crisp Chapter of the IODE, the Daughters of the Nile and the Eastern Star as well as a member of the Orange Lodge. Norma was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary of Spencer Memorial Home for 19 years, of which she was proud. Norma was a devoted wife of 67 years, a wonderful mother, and grandmother and a proud great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Don; her daughter, Donna Jean Constantine (Clinton) of Petitcodiac; her grandchildren, David S Constantine (Jean) of Dobson Corner, Victoria Morton (Greg) of Winnipeg, Dale L. Constantine of Dobson Corner; and her three precious great grandchildren, Sydney, Reggie, Jon who were her life. Norma was predeceased by her infant brother, Donald; her father, Fred and mother, Minnie, and her stepmother, Queenie. The family would like to thank the K. E. Spencer Memorial Home for their wonderful care and support for Norma and the great help they were to her husband Don. Thank you to all the staff on F wing. A special thank you to April Killam for everything she did for the family and to Dr. John McCrae for his great care. Thank you to all the people of Uplands Church who kept her and her family in their prayers. At the request of the family there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Uplands Baptist Church. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Norma be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
