Amy Ann Colpitts, widow of the late Austin Donald Saturday
Amy Ann Colpitts 1918 - 2006 The death of Amy Ann Colpitts, widow of the late Austin Donald Colpitts, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Cambridge Street, Moncton, occurred on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Harrison Mountain, Albert Co., on October 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Minnie (Marshall) Harrison. Amy was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She had attended The First Church of the Nazarene where she loved singing in the church choir. Amy is survived by her son, Chester R. (Deborah) Colpitts of Moncton; her sisters, Mildred (Cecil) Colpitts of Quispamsis, Kathleen (Hilyard) Bannister of Elgin and Myra (late Clarence) Shaffer of Churchill, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Austin and her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father, George Babcock; her infant daughter, Judith Ann; her sister, Ella and brothers, Alfred and Edwin. By personal request, there will not be any visiting hours prior to her funeral service which will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 2pm in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home, (857-1110) 114 Alma Street, Moncton, NB. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Amy's memory may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
