Marjorie E. (Nellie) MacDermaid 1910-2006 MIRAMICHI, N.B. - Marjorie Ellen (Nellie) MacDermaid, widow of the late Harold R. MacDermaid, of Wellington Street, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Friday evening, June 16, 2006, at the age of 96. Born in Bay du Vin, on January 2, 1910, she was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Cameron) Williston. She was a homemaker and, along with her husband, Harold, owned and operated MacDermaid's Grocery Store, on Wellington Street, for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie MacDermaid, of Miramichi; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as two very special caregivers, Barbara Crocker and Carmel Dickson. She was predeceased by six sisters, Maggie McLenaghan, Eliza McLenaghan, Katherine Murdock, Lena Mills, Lottie Mills and Hilda Williston; five brothers, Fred, John, Charles, Roy and Harvey Williston. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Sunday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Monday afternoon, from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service will be held from the residence of Stephen MacDonald, 112 North Napan Road, on Monday, June 19, 2006, at 7 pm. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Riverside Cemetery Fund, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
