Annie Ward
Annie Ward Annie Ward, 86, of Moncton with her family by her side passed away peacefully, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, June 18, 2006. Born in Main River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Sullivan) MacEachern. Annie was a member of Steeves Memorial United Church, Charter member of the United Church Women (Alpha Unit), former Church Treasurer, former treasurer for the Church Memorial Fund and Christian Education. Former Sunday School Teacher and C.G.I.T. Leader and served her church in various other capacities in past years. Former chaplin and treasurer for the Ladies Auxillary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Renoun Lodge # 634; and was a member of the CN Pensioners Association. Annie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting, quilting and genealogy, however, her family were first and foremost in her life. Annie will be sadly missed by her children, Linda and her husband Pat Donovan, Moncton, Stephen Ward and his wife Jocelyn, Lower Coverdale. Grandchildren, Bethany (Kevin Johnson), Riverview, Christine Donovan, Moncton, Stephanie McGrath (Sean), Lower Coverdale; Great Grandchildren, Samuel and Sydney McGrath, Benjamin Donovan. Sisters, Julia Hutchinson (Ward), Bass River Point, Emily Hodgin (Harold), Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Sisters-in-Law, Ruth (MacEachern) Burwell, Clearwater, FL; Kathleen McEachern, Miramichi. Predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Ward (1988), Sister Florence Pulnik (1998); brothers, Cecil (1996), Harris (1977), Orley (1998), Rev. Ernest (1970); infant twin brothers, Peter and Matthew; infant sister, Dorthea; sisters-in-Law Janet MacEachern and Margaret MacEachern. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday 2 to 4, 7 to 9. Funeral Service at Steeves Memorial United Church, Salisbury Road, Thursday, June 22, 2006, 2pm. Rev. Brett Anningson and Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
