Arlene I. Sweezey
Arlene I. Sweezey 1919-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Arlene Isabel Sweezey, wife of Byron F. Sweezey, of Napan Bay, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday morning, June 21, 2006, at the age of 86. Born in Napan Bay, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Elva (Taylor) MacInnis. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a former member of the Womens Institute. She is survived by her husband, Byron; two daughters, June Thompson, of Miramichi and Patricia Simmons (Charles), of St. Albert, Alberta; two sons, Carl Sweezey (Marjorie), of Moncton and Garth Sweezey (Jane), of Napan Bay; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Marion MacDonald (Leigh), of Napan and Adelle Sweezey (Eldon), of Saugus, Mass., USA; one sister in law, Mona MacInnis, of Miramichi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson, Gregory Thompson; one brother, Burton MacInnis. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Friday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Community Cemetery Fund, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
