Ronald N. Rutledge PORT ELGIN, NB - The death of Ronald N. Rutledge, age 80, of Port Elgin, NB, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on June 26, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Edward J. and Olivia M. (Tucker) Rutledge. Ronald was formerly in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Miller) Lucci, Port Elgin; his ex-wife, Betty Jones of Prince Edward Island; five sons, Chester of Alberta, Wayne (Linda) of Port Elgin, Kevin of Port Elgin, Richard of Port Elgin, Robert (Dawn) of Ellerslie; four grandchildren, Clay, Melissa, Hillary and Lindsay; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Brayden; brother, Wendell (Gloria), Perth, ON; two sisters, Marjorie (Owen) Evans, Montreal, and Marie Barker, Alaska. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Cullin in 1955 and by brothers, Fred, Vincent, Douglas, and Chester. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (538-2241) where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 2 pm. The burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
