Therese Melanson 1918 - 2006 Therese Melanson of Dieppe passed away at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the age of 88. Born in Trois Pistoles, QC, on January 7th, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Charles Gagnon and the late Arthemise Dionne. For many years, she lived in Toronto with her husband, Aurele, then moved to Dieppe 18 years ago. While in Toronto, she was past president of Golden Age Club. She liked to do Theater as a director. She was a very talented artist and seamstress. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 41 years, Aurele Melanson; a brother, Abraham Gagnon of Asbestos, QC; also many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Yvonne, Marie, Louise, and Cecile; and three brothers Elzear, Elie and Charles-Eugene of Quebec. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Monday, July 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, July 18 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in Parish Cemetery.
