Frederick W. Grant Ph.D 1943-2006 The death of Dr. Fred Grant, 62, of Moncton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, August 11, 2006. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late William James Grant and Dorothy Masterton. He was a teacher, principal, supervisor and psychologist for what is now School District #2. He was a great asset to the educational system and was responsible for the innovation and implementation of many programs. He also served on many boards in the field of education and in the community. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Heather MacKenzie; his son, Cliff Frederick; and daughter, Sara Jane; and their mother, Mary Jane Grant; his stepdaughter, Sarah MacKenzie Allen; his brother, Gerald (Trudy) Masterton; his aunts, Alfreda Mitchell and Rhoda Cochrane; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters in-law and brothers in-law. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Edwin Masterton. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visiting hours on Saturday, August 12 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, August 13 in the funeral home chapel, followed immediately by the interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
