Mary A. Walker MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Mary A. (Vickers) Walker, wife of Robert Walker, of Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of 88. Born in Lyttleton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Dora E. (Murphy) MacTavis. She was a retired secretary with NB Power Commission. She was a member of the Newcastle United Baptist Church, and was very active in Sunday School (Choir and Youth). Besides her husband, she is survived by her son-in-law, Brian Visser; one brother, Clayton MacTavish (Jean), Miramichi; two grandchildren, Dr. Shaun Visser (Marie), Thunder Bay, ON and Lisa Visser, Chatauguay, QC; two great grandchildren; and one niece, Judy MacPhail (Bob), Oromocto. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Vickers; daughter, Linda Visser; and nephew, Brent MacTavish. Mrs. Mary A. Walker is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, with visitation on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
