Olida Helen Gaudet wife of the late Gerald Gaudet passed away at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by her family on Monday, August 14th 2006. Born in Memramcook, Feb 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Zoel & Josephine (Allain) Gautreau. Olida was happiest when she was surrounded by her friends and family at the cottage in Cap Bimet. She loved playing cards and kicking up her heels to the music at the Barn in Dieppe. Olida is survived by her daughter, Dianne Martin of Ottawa; sons, Michel of Riverview, Jean (Linda) of Irishtown; sisters, Irene Dollard (Paul) of Mass, Therese Leger (Omer) of Mass, Bertha LeBlanc (Eddie) of Mass; brothers, Amedee Gautreau (Marie-Therese) of Mass, Paul Gautreau (Mathilda) of Moncton, Joseph Gautreau (Therese) of Memramcook; grandchildren, Brigitte, Luke, Mitchell & Colin; as well as many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Gerald, Dec 1, 2004, brothers; Neri, Gerald, Armand, Hector, Edouard, Elezee, Alban; sisters, Adrianne, Maria. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, Aug 18 in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception for Olida's family and friends will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
