Gary passed away peacefully Friday, March 6, 2009, at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex.
Born in Reserve Mines, he was a son of the late ‘Red’ George and Marion (Martin) McDonald.
He resided in the Kennedy Complex with very supportive neighbours. Gary, in earlier years, served as a regular member with the Canadian Armed Forces.
He is survived by his brother, George, Sydney; his uncle, Harold ‘Chip’ McDonald, Reserve Mines; and many other relatives and close friends.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Curry’s Funeral Home, Glace Bay. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in Gary’s memory are suggested to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
