Claude J. Leger

Claude J. Leger WALTHAM, MA - Claude J. Leger passed away September 8, 2006, at the Stanley R. Tippett Home in Needham, MA after a courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer. Born and raised in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Mr. Leger moved to Waltham, MA 25 years ago. Mr. Leger was employed as a maintenance technician at Hamilton Co. of Boston, and worked part-time at D'Agostino Oil in Waltham. He also was self-employed as a carpenter for many years. In his spare time Mr. Leger enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was a member of the Union Bowling League at the Wal-Lex Bowling Center in Waltham. He was the son of the late Yvon Leger and step-son of the late Laurie Melanson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Paula M. (Cavallo) Leger; his cherished children, Anna, Shelby, and Matthew Leger all of Walton, his loving mother Aline (McDonald) Melanson of New Brunswick; his sister, Ginnette Leger and brother, Bernard Leger, both of New Brunswick; his mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Anne (Gorgone) Cavallo of Marston Mills, MA and many nieces and nephews. Services have been held in Waltham, Massachusetts.
