Peacefully at Whisperwood Villa, Charlottetown, on Friday, March 6, 2009, of Keith Johnston, formerly of Granville Street, Summerside, aged 86 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Charlottetown, he was the son of the late Hilbert and Christine (MacLennan) Johnston. Survived by his wife, Lorna (Woodside) Johnston; daughter Elizabeth “Betty†Johnston, Brackley; brothers Blair, Halifax; James (Laura), Moncton; sister-in-law Wilma Johnston, Boistown; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son, James; sister and brother-in-law Kathleen (Sherman) Parlee and by sister-in-law and brother-in-law Annie (Woodside) and Fulton Simmons. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to Summerside Presbyterian Church, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will later take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 2-5 p.m. only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Summerside Presbyterian Church Building Fund would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home, Monday at 1:45 p.m. www.moase.ca
