Valeri (Val) J. Henry 1941-2006 Valeri (Val) J. Henry 64, of Moncton with his family at his side passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, October 13, 2006. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Dorina (Allain) Henri-Aucoin of Grande Digue and the late Edouard Henri. Val was a retired chef at C.F.B. Moncton and with his wife they were the former proprietors of Val's Catering Service. He operated Val's small engine repair shop and was a former employee of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital and Howard Johnsons. He attended Notre Dame De Grace Church and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus #6468. He was a member of the Notre Dame De Grace Golden Age and a former bowler in the Parkton Mens league. Val enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, especially 200 Club. Besides his mother, Val will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Valerie (McDougall); sisters, Jeannette Gaudet (Normand), Beatrice Vickers (Byron), both of Moncton; Simonne Henry, Notre Dame; Stella LeBlanc (Roger), Kingston, NS; Rita Henri (Terry Langille), Halifax, NS; brothers, Aquila Henri (Louise), Moncton; Laurie Henri (Louise Anne)Atholville; Robert Henri, Halifax, NS; brothers-in-law, Greg McDougall (Sharon), Moncton; Cameron McDougall, Shediac; sisters-in-law, Heather McDougall, Calgary; Darlene McDougall, Moncton; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father he was predeceased by his brother, Maurice. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Monday 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. Tuesday 12:30 to 1:30pm. Funeral Mass at Notre Dame De Grace Church, Tuesday, October 17, 2006, 2 pm, Reception following the Mass at the Golden Age Club. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
