Rupert Baxter Berry 1928-2006 Rupert Baxter Berry, 78, of Riverside-Albert passed away on October 20th, 2006 at the Moncton Hospital. Rupert was born in Coverdale on April 20th, 1928 the son of the late Burpee and Grace (Steeves) Berry. He was a hard worker and had many jobs over his lifetime, working on a farm, in the woods and last worked driving a log truck before his retiring. He enjoyed curling and was a member of the Fundy Curling Club in his earlier years. He had a very kind and gentle manner, Rupert was a very quiet man, but loved being around his family, friends and especially children. He truly cherished times spent with his great nieces and nephews. He was also the type of person who was always willing to help whenever needed, you could call on Rupert and he was there. He was known for his smile and he will be truly missed by his family and by his community. He was a very special person who will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his three sisters, Hulda Milton (Killam) of Albert Mines, Barbara Chapman (Don) of Moncton, Burla Dempsy (Carl) of St. Paul and by his brother, Bob Berry of Oshawa, Ont.; brother-in-law, Blair Steeves of Hillsborough; he will also be missed by his several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by five brothers, Waldo, John, Roy, James, Fred; and by two sisters, Thelma and Marion. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, October 22nd, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Albert County Funeral Home on Monday, October 23rd, 2006 at 2pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Interment will be held in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
