Arthur Elsworth Votour 1925 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mr. Arthur Elsworth Votour, husband of the late May (Villeneuve) Votour, of Miramichi, NB occurred on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 81. Born in Chatham Head, NB, he was the son of the late John and Irene (Furlotte) Votour. Arthur attended the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head, NB, was a retired miner and overseas veteran of WWII and member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 10. Arthur is survived by four daughters, Heather Gionet (Donald) of Sudbury, ON, Margaret Linn (Robert) of Kitchener, ON, Mary Lynn Patten (Ricky) of Douglasville, Georgia, Kathy Jacobs (Gerry) of Kitchener, ON; five sisters; three brothers; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides his parents and wife, Arthur is predeceased by one son, John; grandson, Cory; one sister and three brothers. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head, NB, on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 2 PM with Father Bob McGuire officiating.
