Daniel J. MacDougall 1942-2006 Daniel J. MacDougall 64, of Moncton, passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Born in North Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Stephen and Agnes (MacNeil) MacDougall. After receiving the Governor General's Award upon graduation from the Saint John Vocational School, he began his lengthy career with CNR in 1961. Upon his retirement in 1991 he was Senior Communications Analyst. Since his retirement he was a Real Estate Agent with Royal Lepage Realty Experts. Dan was past president of St. Pat's Family Center, past member of Toastmasters International as well as past member of the Moncton Lions Club. He was extremely involved in the Moncton Community and was an active volunteer who believed in helping others. Dan will be sadly missed by his daughter, Kimberly Wieringa (JanWillem), Beaconsfield, PQ; grandson, Nathan; son, Derrick (Lisa), Moncton; sisters, Josephine (Cheche) MacDougall (Leonard), North Sydney; Kathleen Muller (Barry), Westlock, AB; brothers, Eddie (Myrtle), Hugh (Velma), North Sydney, NS, Allan (Debbie), Sydney Mines, NS; and the mother of his children, Francine MacDougall. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Tuesday, December 12, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday, December 13, 2006, 10am. Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, North Sydney.
