William (Bill) Howard Mahoney 1942 ~ 2007 ELGIN, NB - It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden death of William (Bill) Howard Mahoney, 64, of Elgin and formerly of Moncton on Monday January 1, 2007 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in White Rapids, he was the son of the late William Howard and Lynnetta (Grattan) Mahoney. Bill was the founder of Mahoney Paving and made a great success of it before selling in 1990. He was a hard worker and was well respected throughout his life by all who knew him. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, a Ford Motors Enthusiast, Montreal Canadian Fan, but most importantly a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 30 years, Gwen (Baxter) Mahoney; his children, Susan Lynn (Mahoney) Sadler, Moncton, Randy Mahoney (Jana), Cambridge, ON, Angela Mahoney, Moncton; grandchildren, Jordan Sadler and Jaxson Mahoney; brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Ionson (Alfred), Lois Davis (Reg), Connie Ross (Blake), Pat Otis, Kathleen Coughlan (Winston), John Martin Dunn (Glenda), Linus Dunn (Kathy), Mary Davis, James Dunn (Nancy). Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jeanine Mahoney (1970); Step-Father, Martin Dunn (1997).
