Mary Loretta Duffy Mary Loretta Duffy, 88, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home formerly of Wellington St., Miramichi passed away at the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home on Monday, January 22nd, 2007. Born in Nelson, the daughter of the late Martin and Loretta (MacEachern) English. Mrs. Mary Duffy is survived by son, Jim (Peggy) Duffy of Miramichi; four daughters, Sharon (Ken) Nicol of Sackville, NB, Susan (Lance) Enright of Moncton, NB, Mary (Jean) Poirier of Riverview, NB, and Marion (Ralph) Brine of Truro, NS; twelve grandchildren, Patrick and Meghan Duffy, Jody (Enright) Upright (Chris) and Jamie Enright, Paula and Pamela Nicol, Luc, Charlie and Alynn Poirier, Katie, David and Jennifer Brine; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Upright; and by many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is predeceased by her husband, Dr. Charles Duffy; three brothers, Adrian, Joseph, and Mac; three sisters, Anna MacCarthy, Catherine Usher, and Helana English. Visitation with family and friends will be held from Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24th at 11am from St. Michael's Basilica. Interment will be in the Church cemetery in the spring.
