Fred S. Bauer Fred S. Bauer, 99, of the Veterans Health Centre and formerly of People's Park Tower, Moncton passed away at his residence on Monday February 5, 2007. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clarence and Josephine (Diotte) Bauer. Fred was retired from the T. Eaton Company Ltd., mail order department with 50 years service. He was a member of St. John's United Church and an honorary church elder. Past Master of Zetland Lodge #24 F & AM, Shediac, member of Zetland Chapter # 26 O.E.S, Shediac, Past Noble Grand of Prince Albert Lodge #26, I.O.O.F., member of Pearl Rebekah Lodge #9, member of Eatons Quarter Century Club, member of the Moncton Legion #6, and Veteran of the 2nd World War, served overseas with the Royal Canadian Artillary (R.S.M.) from 1939-45; served in Canada, Great Britian, Western Europe and the Mediterranean Area. Fred will be sadly missed by his sister, Ernestine Vaughan, Halifax, NS; brother, Lawrence (Dorothy), Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Greta (Steeves) (1988); sons, Donald and Ernest; sisters, Glendine, Gladys, Isabelle; brothers, Clarence and Charles. In keeping with Fred's wishes there will be no visitation. Private family service to be held. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
