Allan J. Hachey 1937 - 2007 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Allan Joseph Hachey, widower of the late Jean Hachey, of Blakely Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, February 17th, 2007, at the age of 69. Born in Newcastle, on July 11th, 1937, he was the son of the late Amedie and Catherine (Benoit) Hachey. He was a former employee of George Burchill & Sons Ltd., as well as Nelson Forest Products Ltd. He was an adherent of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi. He is survived by two sons, William Hachey (Elizabeth) and James Hachey (Nancy), all of Miramichi; four grandchildren, Shane, Koren, Holly and Lindsay; one sister, Doris Harris, of Miramichi; eight brothers, Charles (Aurella), Kenneth (Mona), Larry (Marina), Ernest (Joan), David (Brenda), Leon (Laurie), Stephen, Leo (Lorraine), all of Miramichi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jean Oldfield, in 1982; one daughter, Rose Thomas; two sisters, Irene Georgiadis and Leah Hutchinson; and one brother, Francis Hachey. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Sunday, February 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, Wellington Street, Miramichi, on Monday, February 19th, 2007, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in Moorefield Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrews United Church, the Moorefield Cemetery Fund, or the Canadian Red Cross, would be appreciated by the family.
