Lucie Duguary SHEMOGUE - The death of Lucie Duguay, age 88, of Comeau's Point, occurred on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Dr. George DuMont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Comeau's Point, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Eugenie (Jacob) Donelle. A devoted mother, she was left a widow, with 9 children, following the death of her husband Gerald in 1949. She provided for them all, by working as a boat builder many long and hard days, with her father and then with her son. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Herminie (Oscar) LeBlanc, Cap Pele, Eugenie (Eric) Cormier, Point de Chene, Dora LeBlanc, Shediac Bridge (with whom she resided), Eda (Emerie) Vautour, Cap Pele; and sons, Adolphe (Corinne), Cap Pele, Gerald (Mai), Shemogue, Camille and Jimmy, both of Port Elgin; daughters-in-law, Yvrette, Marie-Jeanne and Monica; a sister, Marie Bateman, Shemogue; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; a son, Arthur; brothers, Adolphe, Tanis, Andrew, and Leo; and sisters, Suzanne, Dora and Rita. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). Lucie's family will receive friends at the Club d'Age D'Or de Shemogue on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, Shemogue, on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 10:30 am.
