Floyd E. Atkinson PETITOCODIAC, NB - Floyd E. Atkinson, 71, of Petitcodiac, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Walter and Ivah (Lewis) Atkinson. He was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, and member of the Trailblazers, Petitcodiac ATV Club. He was a truck driver having retired from the Department of Transportation in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Murray); daughters, Judy Orsini (Brian) of Shubenacadie, NS, Trudy Nowlan (Craig) of Petitcodiac; son, Troy Atkinson (Tanya Firth) of Calgary; sister, June LeBlanc (Alfred); brothers, Gerry (Mary), Leonard (Joyce), Gordie (Alida), Basil; grandchildren, Vince, Vic, Kory, Chanel, Vanessa, Bryce, Deborah, Alli; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Brian and Stan. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, where visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held from Petitcodiac Baptist Church on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 11:00am, Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
