Maude Catherine Westfield

Maude Catherine Westfield WILMOT, NS - Maude Westfield, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Weymouth, NS, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel (Tibbetts) Melanson. She worked for Sears Canada in Halifax for several years before moving to the Annapolis Valley where she was manager of the Farmer's ice cream stand in Wilmot until she retired to spend more time with her family and on the things she loved; crafts, gardening, bird watching and playing cards with friends. She was very involved in the All Saints Anglican Church in Kingston and a member of the Anglican Church Women. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Kevin) Allison, Windsor, ON; sons, Richard (Helen), Musquash, NB; Tim (Gisele), Dieppe, NB; sisters, Katherine (Kay) Duran, Weymouth, NS; Dorothy (Dot) Morrell, Brighton, NS; Eva Doucette, Digby NS; brother, Joseph (Marge) Melanson, Weymouth, NS; grandchildren; Kirk, Jonathon, Sarah, Adam, Jessica, Samuel, Ashley and Matthew. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard (Dick); sister, Ella Boudreau and brother, Bill Melanson. The family would like to thank the medical staffs of the Neurological Floor at the Moncton City Hospital, and the Family Medicine Floor of the Saint John Regional Hospital. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9PM, Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton, NS (902) 825-3448. A memorial service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, March 3, 2007 at All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston, NS, Father Michael McKeage officiating.
