Shirley Marguerite (Marg) Wright 1931 - 2007 STONEY CREEK, NB - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Marguerite (Marg) Wright of Stoney Creek, NB on April 15, 2007 in Tuscon, Arizona. Born in Louisbourg, Nova Scotia on January 6, 1931, she was the daughter of Charles and Annie (Fader) Dickson. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 51 years, James (Jim) Wright of Stoney Creek; her six children, James (Joanne) of Unionville, ON, Philip (June Young) of Dartmouth, NS, Debbie Ritchie (Rick) of Stoney Creek, Gail of Grande-Digue, Kathy Chapman (Dale) of Riverview and Doug (Nicole) of Moncton; her cherished grandchildren, Heather Spencer (Dean), Sarah and Jessica Wright, and Patrick and Lukas Chapman; her sisters, Bea Stevens of Sebring, FL and Etta Gow (Gordie) of Liverpool, NS; close family friend, Liane Landry of Grande-Digue; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Charles A. Dickson; and grandson, Robert Ritchie. A graduate of the Nova Scotia Teachers' College (Truro, NS) and Dalhousie University. She taught at the TB Hospital in Moncton before moving to Labrador in 1954, where she continued to teach and hold administrative positions. The family remained until 1974. Upon return to Moncton, she worked for Commercial Life Insurance and North American Life Insurance, as well as tutoring special needs children until her retirement. She was an active member of St. George's Anglican Church, Past President of the Women's Association of the PC Party of New Brunswick, enjoyed bridge, gardening and time spent with her family. In keeping with Marg's wishes, cremation was entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date with internment to take place in Grey's Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
