Leopold Letourneau

Leopold Letourneau 1923 - 2007 Leopold Henri Letourneau, 83, of Lakeville, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at The Moncton Hospital. Born November 23, 1923 in Quebec City, he was the son of the late Henri Letourneau and Jeanne Moreau. He served 33 years with the Canadian Air Force. A veteran, he served in W.W. 2 and the Korean War. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, the Moncton Air Force Club and the Canadian Air Force Association. Leopold had a great love for airplanes, and watching the boats at the Pte-du-Chene wharf. He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Gautreau (Ben); three sons, Roger, Peter (Mary), and Robert; two sisters-in-law, Alice Daigle and Rita Sonier; a brother-in-law, Emery LeBlanc; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Beatrice (LeBlanc) in Sept. 2006. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 2 to 4 at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2007 at St-Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church (Lewisville). Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
