Derrol (Darrell) Eugene Perry 1940-2007 Derrol (Darrell) Eugene Perry passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care on Friday, May 18, 2007 following a lengthy illness at the age of 66 years. Derrol was born in Havelock, NB on September 27, 1940. He was the son of the late Percy and Della (Thorne) Perry. Derrol joined the military in 1961 and served with NATO Forces (Europe), United Nations (Egypt, Israel and Syria) and was stationed and transferred throughout Canada during his 23 years of service. He retired from the military at Cold Lake, Alberta in 1985. Derrol's training took him from the Canadian School of Military Engineering to the Military Engineering School at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and Air Assault training with the 101st Airbourne Regiment at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. After retiring from the military, he was employed with the Department of the Environment (PARKS) Waterton Lakes, Alberta. Derrol retired from Parks Canada in 1997. Derrol will be sadly missed by his wife, Bonnie Perry of Lethbridge; his two sons, Kenneth (Deb) of Nine Mile River, NS, and Brent (Connie) of Oakland, NB; his grandson, Keegan; his brothers, Dale (Phyllis) Perry, Brian Perry, Dana (Annette) Perry; his sisters, Brenda (Gary) Coleman and Beverley (Alain) Bourgeois, all of Moncton, NB. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws's, Bev (Ken) Rees and Raelene (Warren) Frache; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In keeping with Derrol's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
