Ruth Hickey 1916 - 2007 UPPER REXTON, NB - Ruth Hickey, wife of the late Henry Hickey, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Stella Maris Hospital, St. Anne de Kent, NB, at the age of 90 years. Born in Upper Rexton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Finno and Sarah (Hicks) Finno. She attended St. John the Evangelist Church, Rexton. Ruth was a strong farm woman and an avid gardener. She loved the land and her animals. She was a crusader for the Canadian Cancer Society and a valued member of the St. John's Anglican Church. She was a member of the Canadian Hereford Association and a member of the Ladies Anglican Guild and sat on the vestry. Ruth will be sadly missed by her son, Bruce and daughter-in-law, Darlene, Upper Rexton; three granddaughters, Patty Jo, Bobby Jo and Sammy Jo; and one grandson, Michael; several friends, Vida Finno, Evelyn Mundle, John G. Pearce, Ethan and Denver Ferguson; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Henry; brothers, Joe, Jack, Bill, Harrison (Vida), Kent; and sister, Janet (Sydney). Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, with visiting on Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Rexton on Sunday, June 17, 2007, 2:30 pm. Interment in Richibucto Anglican/United Cemetery.
