Joseph Gerard (JG) C. Leger 1925-2007 Gerard C. Leger, of Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on June 23, 2007. He was the son of the late Anselme Leger and Ada (Gould) Paradis. A Veteran of The Second World War, JG was employed as a Corrections Officer at the Dorchester Penitentiary, retiring in 1986. JG will be remembered as a loving family man who had a passion for hockey and a good game of cards with his family and friends. JG will be sadly missed by his wife, Rita of (59 years); and his children, Michael (Joanne), Charles (Patricia), Monique (Jim), Denise (Stephen) and Ron (Angele); as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Louis; and sister, Jeaninne, (Leopold Belliveau). By request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Service at Christ-Roi church at 10:45 am on Wednesday, June 27th. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, June 27 at Christ-Roi Church Dominion St. A reception will be held following the service at the Club D'age D'or. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the Cardiac Critical Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital.
