Mr. Hector Joseph Gallant

Mr. Hector Joseph Gallant 1916 - 2007 Passed away on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2007 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 90 years. Husband of Victoria (Burtt) Gallant of Turtle Creek. Born in Howlan, PEI, Hector was the son of the late Sylvain and Judith (Kelly) Gallant. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 31 in Salisbury. Hector was self-employed, lumberman and fox farmer. Besides his wife, Victoria, Hector is survived by his children, Larry (Maxine), Terry (Joanne), Judy (Earl Doucette) & Wendy (Ted MacLean); grandchildren, Neil, Jennifer, Troy, Tracy, Leanne, Michael & Kevin; great grandchildren, Abigael, Gabrielle, Lily, Dylan, Abigale & Brandon; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Roderick Hector Gallant in 1954; six brothers and by five sisters. Visitation will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. A legion service will be held from the funeral home at 6:45 p.m on Thursday evening. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 6th, 2007 at 2:00 O'clock with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Canadian Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton (506) 852-3530.
