It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved brother, Fredall (Freddy) Robinson. Fred passed away suddenly Monday, March 9, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in North Sydney, he was the son of the late Fred and Ethel (Hatcher) Robinson. Fred was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy and Brenda, both of Toronto; and their mother, Kathy; a grandson, Jeffrey, Toronto; seven brothers, Leo, Walter (Cathy), Jackie (Dawn), all of North Sydney, Clayton and Alex, both of Whitney Pier, Ronnie, Sydney, Joe (Diana), Ohio; four sisters, Bonnie (Victor), Whitney Pier, Cora (Ronnie) Shaw, Bras d’Or, Naomi (Lawrence) Boutilier and Janie (Roger), both of North Sydney; also by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and by special friends Liz and Levi Nippard.
Fred was predeceased by his brother, Daniel in infancy.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the EMC paramedics, the doctors and nurses at the Northside General Hospital, the staff of the CCU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, as well as Fr. Neil McKenna for their care and support.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral mass will be held Friday, 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Jim Attwood officiating.
