Joseph Daigle

Joseph Daigle 1920 - 2007 Joseph Daigle, age 87, of Richiboucto-Village, passed away on Tuesday July 31st, 2007 after a brief illness at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital. He was married to Lina (Née Cormier) Daigle, born in Saint-Louis de Kent on March 9th, 1920 to the late Clément and the late Préscille (Née DeGrace) Daigle. He was a fisherman, and belonged to the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richiboucto-Village. Joseph was a veteran of WWII and served with the LaChaudière Regiment overseas from 1944 to 1946. He belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion, Richiboucto, and the Richiboucto-Village Golden Age Club. Joseph is survived by his wife, Lina Daigle; three daughters, Patsy Daigle of Bouctouche, Lorraine Kivelos (Nick) of Dieppe, Nora Daigle (Martine) of Ottawa; four sons, Roger (Cécile), Yvon (Emerise) both of Cap-Lumière, Louis (Anise) de Saint-Maurice de Kent, Victor (Sonia Lee) of Calgary; nine grandchildren; seven great-grand children; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Camille, in infancy. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Richiboucto-Village, on Thursday August 2nd, 2007 from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday August 3rd at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Church, Richiboucto-Village. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Joseph's memory, donations can be made to the Dr Georges-L-Dumont Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche www.mailletfuneralhome.ca
