Gladys Mary Cheaney SACKVILLE, NB - Gladys Mary Cheaney, age 84, passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 13, 2007. Born in North Bay, ON, she was a daughter of the late Betsy and Archie and Samuel and Jessie Ferro. Gladys worked for several years with Neilson Chocolate in Ontario. She and Bill spent many happy days together on the golf course and moved to Sackville in 1999. She attended Main Street Baptist Church as well as Sackville Senior's Club and Young at Heart. Gladys enjoyed walking around town and visiting with many friends. Gladys will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Ruth (Frank) Cole, Sackville, Joyce Tan, Saint John, and Janet (Edward) Newbery, Toronto; two honorary daughters, Lisa Ward and Cheryl Gregory; five grandchildren, Jeff (May), Ross, Michael, Craig, and Veronica; great grandson, Ewa Tan. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Cheaney. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) where the funeral will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 11 am, Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. Burial will be in the Sackville Cemetery. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
