Howard C. Weir 1930 - 2007 Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13th, 2007 at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by loving family. Howard was 76 years old and beloved husband of Mary Weir (Bartlett) of Upper Coverdale. Born in Wright Mills, NB, Howard was the son of the late John and Hattie (Smith) Weir. He attended Nixon Baptist Church. Howard, a retired lumberman, enjoyed Country and Fiddle Music. He was very family oriented, spending lots of time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his wife, Howard is survived by his children, Richard (Teri), Wayne (Maxine), Linda (Denis), Carol (Craig), Pasty, Dale (Debby), Gwen (Cecil), Rodney (Anne), and John (Angela); sisters, Eleanor MacDonald (Ralph), Audrey Steeves (Carl), and Eva Bannister (Arnold); brothers, Eric Weir (Helen), Jack Weir (Ruth), and Benny Weir (Vivian); 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his dog, Patches; and his cat, Boots. Besides his parents, Howard was predeceased by his sisters, Hilda Morrissey and Charlotte Martin; his brothers, Clarence, Raymond and Guy. Visitation will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 16th, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev John Meenink officiating with burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
