Edmond J. Gauvin 1923 -2007 NEW SCOTLAND, NB - Edmond Joseph Gauvin, 83, of New Scotland, NB, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 14th, 2007. Born August 30th, 1923 in Adamsville, he was the son of the late Tilmon and Albina (Arsenault) Gauvin. He was a veteran of W.W. 2 having served overseas, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Harcourt, and was retired from School District 13. He is survived by his six children, Annette Cormier (Walter), Ronnie (Bonnie), Gary (Marlene), and Paulette Shewman (John) all of Trenton, ON, Donald (Stella) of Adamsville, Nancy Hebert (Paul) of New Scotland; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Émelda Bastarache of Coal Branch. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalie (Arsenault) in 1981; three brothers, Arthur, Clifford, Fred; and a sister, Nathalie Gautreau. The family will receive condolences at St. Thimothée Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Adamsville, Saturday, August 18th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
