Joseph R. Currie 1926 - 2007 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Joseph R. Currie passed away at his residence August 25th 2007 at the age of 81. He was a good, gracious, compassionate and humble man. Son of Joseph & Alice (Dower) Currie. He is survived by his partner and best friend, Yolanta Dukszta; daughter, Monika; stepdaughter, Natalia; brother, Dick (Florence) and extended family and numerous friends in Miramichi and around the world. Mr. Joseph Currie is predeceased by siblings, Jim, Jean, Dorothy, Tom; stepson, Witold. Joe left his home town a lifetime ago, and traveled extensively for business and pleasure, his heart, however, belonged to Chatham, where he spent his last days. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1st 2007, at St Michaels Basilica at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
