Lynne (Lordly) Diane Winter July 15, 1934 - July 22, 2007 Lynne (Lordly) Diane Winter passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital after a courageous battle. Lynne is survived by her loving family; Her husband Richard; four children, and nine grandchildren, David (Annie), MacKenzie, Meg and Sam; Cheryl, Brandon and Shanna; Scott (Sandy), Jessica, Carlie and Laura; Gary (Sadie) Abigail; and sister Peggy. Lynne was born in Moncton, N.B. She graduated from the School of Nursing, V.G.H., Halifax, N.S. She attended her 50th reunion from the School of Nursing at the Pictou Lodge, N.S., Sept. 2006. Those eyes - those great big beautiful blue eyes - not a blond hair out of place, never says no to a cup of coffee. Lynne was the glue that kept the family together, and will be greatly missed. The family thanks all who expressed their concerns with cards, phone calls, visits and prayers. Cremation has occurred. An Anglican Memorial Service will be held at Foster & McGarvey Ltd., 10011 - 114 Street, 780-428-6666 on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.; followed by a Celebration of Life at the Royal Glenora Club, 11160 River Valley Road, 780-482-2371 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. The ashes will be scattered at Point du Chene, N.B., and interred at the family plot at Fredericton, N.B. In remembrance, donations may be made to the Royal Alexandra Foundation, 10240 Kingsway Avenue, 780-471-4700; ICU or Dept. OBS & GYN (Perinatal Medicine). Special thanks to the staff at the RAH ICU for their care, including Critical Drs., nurses, respiratory, physiotheraphy, occupational therapy, dietary and housekeeping; and to nursing staff Ste 31, Room 27 (Observation) and Ste 44, Room 21.
