Elsie Mills Hawkesworth 1924 - 2007 It is with sadness that the family of Elsie Mills Hawkesworth announces her passing on October 15 after a prolonged illness with cancer. She leaves to mourn her death her husband Earle; son Robert (Wendy Eastman); daughter Kathy (Gary Kriviak); grandchildren Samantha and Julian; her sisters, Ellen Hosford of Moncton, New Brunswick and Sheila Pipes of Amherst, Nova Scotia, and her extended family and friends across Canada and around the world. Elsie will be remembered for her contributions to her family and community, especially for her gifts of teaching, warm hospitality, a generous spirit and abundant affection. Her family wishes to thank her many friends who visited and contacted her during her illness with special thanks to the community at Strathcona Baptist Church. They also thank all those who provided assistance, especially Penny Shmanka and the Edmonton Palliative Home Care Team; Dr. Fraser Armstrong; and the staff of Canterbury Manor and Canterbury Court.
