Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, of Mrs. Eileen (nee MacNeill) Smith of Charlottetown and formerly of New Dominion, age 78 years. Beloved wife of A. Delwin Smith and dear mother of Judy (Joe) Mitchell of New Dominion. She is also survived by one loving grandson, Shawn (Megan) Mitchell of New Dominion; three great-grandchildren, Madeleine, Lila and Audrey; sisters, Edna MacKinnon of New Dominion, Lillian (Sheldon) MacDonald of New Dominion, and Marj (Ralph) Newman of New Haven; nephew, Doug (Darlene) Newman and niece, Dawne (Charles) MacLaren. She was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Margaret (MacNevin) MacNeill, and her brother, Bud MacNeill. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the private funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment later in the family plot in New Dominion Cemetery. No visiting hours by personal request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eileen's memory may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
