Elmer Martin BAIE STE. ANNE, NB - Mr. Elmer Martin of Baie Ste. Anne passed away peacefully on Wednesday Nov 14th at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 70. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, he was the son of the late Edmond and Mina (McIntyre) Martin. He was a retired fisherman. He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Joan Ann Martin; his children, Dorine Manuel (Melvin) Irishtown, NB, Shirley Parisé (Ted) Dieppe, Bernice Durelle (Buff) Bay Du Vin , Elmer Martin Jr. (Christina) Miramichi; his grandchildren, Victoria Gregan, Coulton Durelle, Collin Gregan, Philip Martin, Rebecca Gregan, Jean-Nicholas Parisé; stepchildren, Edward Martin, Gerald Martin and Michael Martin (Connie); step grandchildren, Tiffany, Jordan, Brianna and Brittany Martin; his brothers, Neri (Regina) Martin, Hilairion (Ludovine) Martin, Blair (Carol) Martin, Zoël (Diane) Martin, Edmond (Louise) Martin; sisters, Irene (Yvon) Gingras, Lauretta (Elphege) Sippley, Elva (Guy) Savoie; sisters-in- law, Hermine Martin and Beatrice McIntyre; and brother-in-law, Keith Mott; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by wife, Edith Manuel; sisters, Suzanne Daigle and Clara Mott; brothers, Edgar McIntyre and Oran Martin. Visitation will be held at the Baie Ste. Anne Slumber Room in Baie Ste. Anne on Thursday Nov 15th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday Nov 16th from 2 pm till time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Nov 16th at 4 pm from St. Anne Church in Baie Ste. Anne. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
