Mrs. Marjorie E. Steeves

Mrs. Marjorie E. Steeves 1920 - 2007 After a lengthy illness, Marjorie Steeves departed this life peacefully surrounded by her family. Known for her quick wit and generous spirit she will be missed by all. Marjorie was born in Moncton on December 6, 1920. She graduated from Moncton High School and later, Oulton's Business College. She worked for the Federal Government or over 30 years until her retirement in 1985. Marjorie was a member of St. George's Anglican Church and over the years served as a member of the Willing Workers, Altar Guild, and John Alexander Club. Marjorie was a long time member of the Bonar Law and Municipal Chapters of the I.O.D.E as well as the Moncton Hospital Auxillary. Marjorie is survived by her son, Michael (Lynn) and daughter, Susan (Brian) Gaudet; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Patrick and great grandchildren, Braeden and Maegan. She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and George Steeves; her husband, Harold in 1960 and her long time companion, Don Wilkins in 2004. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton (506) 852-3530 with visitation on Thursday November 22, 2007 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday November 23, 2007 from the Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room at the Funeral Home. Remembrances in Marjorie's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. A book of condolences may be signed at www.fairhavenmemorial.ca
