Leona (Lee) W. Phillips 1922-2007 Leona (Lee) W. Phillips 85 of Moncton, with her loving family by her side passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday November 21, 2007. Born in Albert County, she was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Addie (Smith) Greer. Leona was retired from Zellers Ltd., Moncton, was a member of the United Church and was a former volunteer at the Moncton Hospital. She was an avid bowler for over 30 years and was a member of the Senior League at Parklanes. In her later years she traveled extensively to many countries, including Spain and Dominican Republic. She enjoyed swimming with her friends at St. Pat's, playing cards, etc. She got a great joy from visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leona will be sadly missed by her daughter, Catherine Linfield (Ernest), Isaiah Rd.; son, Michael (Sheila), Moncton; grandchildren, Brett Linfield (Michelle), Moncton; Russell Linfield (Sandra), Moncton; Wendy Uhrig (Rob), Nepean, ON; JoAnne Phillips, Halifax; great grandchildren, Krystina Finn, Douglas, Michael, Arista and Jade Linfield; brother, Kenneth Greer (Gwyn), Comox, BC; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, John W. Phillips (1975); sisters, Doris, Alvara, Joyce; brothers, Arnold, Fred, Leslie. No visitation by personal request. A memorial service for Family and close friends will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995). Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
